Captain Edith Padgett–USS Charleston - For being an avid participants for the last 5 years in the chapters Adopt a Highway Program.

 

Captain Thomas B. Heffner–USS Gallifrey - for all the environemental issues and services he has committed himself and the GALLIFREY to over the year of 2003. His dedication and hard work to not only support the issues and organizations who work for savin' our world and her life upon it, but for promotin' the issues, the organizations, and becomin' involved physically himself and for motivatin' the rest of his crew  to do what needs to be done in this area.Captain Heffner is involved in  several environmental issues, like "Green Earth" and "Save the Whales", but has gone out to work with these organizations in both areas of support and public awareness. That is, not countin' his efforts to actually make a difference all by himself, motivatin' the crew of the GALLIFREY to join him. His work in local environmental issues, like Community Restroation and Trash Pick-up has lead the way to improvin' the local neighborhood and motivatin' the rest of his crew to get involved in our own communities. Captain Ron Novak–USS Renegade -  he has  operated this country's first Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Center in Akron (Summit County), Ohio. He has been a member of that team for 8 years. This team has won awards and citations from the State of Ohio for its innovativeness, and for being on the frontier of the recycling industry. He has also worked for a company that encourages the recycling of hazardous materials into reusable products and has given lectures in previous years on hazardous materials. He supports efforts by individuals to recycle any and all materials including newspapers, plastic, batteries, and old chemicals by encouraging them to contact the local Solid Waste Management authority.(200403)

 

Captain James J. Cecil–USS Commonwealth - started up the USS Commonwealth's Inkjet, Laser printer and cell phone recycling project. Thus rendering the amount of waste that going into the Madison County land fill.(200506)

 

Commander Dan Johnson - USS Bonaventure - The starting of and maintaining of the USS Bonaventure's recycling program.(200905.16)

 

Commodore Glenda Blanks - USS Heimdal NCC-1793 - Recycles chapter's aluminum collection. (200905.16)

 

 

Admiral Sherry Anne Newell - USS Renegade NCC- 2547- Recycling aluminum

 

Morgan Harper - USS Columbus -  5 years old. Helps with the collection of aluminum cans and plastic bottles for recycling. (201005.01)

 

Wyatt Cook - USS Columbus - Almost 3 years old. Helps with the collection of aluminum cans and plastic bottles for recycling.(201005.01)

 

Ensign Lucille Skipper - USS Star League - Arranging a mission to Phinizy Swamp and the Augusta Canal, thereby promoting environmental awareness and the importance of keeping our waterways clean (201005.14)

 

Megan Krell - USS Star League - Participation in he chapter's environmental awareness efforts by collecting aluminum cans for recycling and assisting with their delivery (201305.04)

 

James De Loach - USS Star League - Maintaining the Star League's aluminum recycling program. coordinating the collection, rinsing and crushing of cans, as well as delivering them to the recycling center (201305.04)

 

Admiral Cindy Krell - USS Star League - her aid to the Star League cadet corps in their recycling efforts.

 

LtCmdr - Laina Lamb - USS Odin - For her excellent performance in promoting environmental awareness and continually being avidly involved in environmental issues and projects in her local community. LT CMDR Lamb continues to advocate and bring to the forefront of her crews attention environmental issues and cleanup projects she participates in.  (201306.23)

 

Kattie Staples - USS Helen Pawlowski - Keeps chapter apprised of issues pertaining to environment. Produced science dept newsletter called "Science Lab". Motivated the crew to recycle. (201312.30)

 

Thomas Lloyd Jr- USS Freedom - Recycling nine pounds of aluminum cans ,four pounds glass and twelve pounds paper (201502.22)

 

Eddie Riddle - USS Freedom - Recycling four pounds of aluminum cans, ten pounds glass and eight pounds paper and two pounds cardboard (201502.22)

 

Sam Phillips - USS Freedom - Recycling four pounds of aluminum cans, ten pounds glass and eight pounds paper and two pounds cardboard (201502.2)

 

TJ Allen - USS Robert de Bruce - Organizes for the Robert de Bruce  and participates in the Adopt a Road clean up every other month. Sends report to NC DOT to maintain the agreement for Adopt a Road (201605.20)

 

Maj Gen Steve Parmley - USS Constellation - Steve takes part 2 times a month cleaning a mile of highway (201805.19)

 

Haleigh Parmley - USS Constellation - Haleigh  takes part 2 times a month cleaning a mile of high way (201805.19)

 

USS Serenity members - Janine & Jonathan Darnell, John Brice, Lisa & Mike Kirkpatrick, Joseph Lantz and Ryan Presson. attended the North Carolina Zoo in recognition of Earth Day and decided to stay in the Africa wing (as we had inclement weather today and could not do the North American side) and we decided to attend one of the feeding and educational sessions about Giraffes and Elephants in the wild.  202304.30)
